SUMMARY
In this chapter, you were introduced to chemical
warfare and biological warfare operations, defense,
and countermeasures. The various types of BW agents
and CW agents were also described. Finally, you were
introduced to various methods and equipment that are
used to detect either CW agents or BW agents.
Advancements are continuously being made to ensure
that the Navy will be able to conduct CW and
BW defensive and countermeasures effectively.
As new equipment and systems are introduced to the
Navy, read the manufacturer's technical manual to
familiarize yourself with the new equipment and
systems.
